Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
Each band member should be a citizen or resident of Pakistan. There is no limitation on gender and profession (except professional musicians). Professional musicians and bands already having media exposure cannot participate in this competition. All band members must be amateurs. Every member of the band should not have a contract with any record company. Minimum age requirement is 18 years old. The band should consist of 2 to 6 persons. Band members should be the same throughout the event (including video entry). In case of changing members, the band will be disqualified. Each person can participate in One (1) band only.
Entry Fee
There will be no entry fee to the contest. Serena hotels will not be liable to any payments made to any identity in connection to this contest.

Step 01
Video Submission
The band must submit the video via our online form, including all details required. Videos will not be accepted by e-mail, social media or other means.
Guidelines
Video submission should be visibly and audibly clear. Performance duration should not exceed 06 minutes. All band members should be visibly seen performing live for the whole time of recording. “Music videos” for promotional purposes will not be accepted. Serena Hotels reserve the right to reject any video submissions before and after publishing.
Musical Instruments
All kinds of electrical and acoustic musical instruments are allowed to use.
Judgement
Three (3) bands as winners will be chosen among all video entries. Winners will be chosen by the jury panel consisting of prominent personalities of the music industry. Winners will be announced on November 04, 2017 on our Official Facebook Page of Serena Hotels.
Liability
Participants should guarantee that video submitted is the band or band member’s original work and the video does not contain any other copyrighted material owned by a 3rd party (personal rights, copyright violations, and trademark) and that any person displayed in the video has given their consent to the publication. Participants shall be liable for any damage or loss claimed by third parties for the submitted video. Videos and song lyrics should not be offensive and discriminatory, either in words or actions, to any person or nationality (regardless of sex, race, religion or others).
Copyright
Submitted video will only be used by the panel of judges to determine the bands that deserve to Be The Next Sarangi Star. The copyright of the video will, at all times, be respected by Serena Hotels and retained by the band. The bands grant Serena Hotels the right to use their uploaded video performances for advertising and promotional purposes of any kind, regardless of modification.
Selected Bands
The selected bands will be informed by email on November 04, 2017 and will have to submit their availability within 02 days for performing Live at the mega event to be held November 09, 2017 at Islamabad Serena Hotel.

Top 03 promising bands will be selected by the panel of professional judges to perform live in Sarangi Night by Serena Hotels. The bands will also receive the trophy and winning prize at the event. The event will be held on November 09, 2017.
Transport
Travel cost (if specified before traveling will be reimbursed by Serena Hotels. Local transport in each city (if required) will be provided by Serena Hotels. No charges will be attributed to bands.
Accommodation
Accommodation during the Sarangi Night will be provided by Serena Hotels including complimentary meals and laundry.
Musical Instruments
The bands must bring their own instruments to perform at the Sarangi Night.
Prize for Winning Bands
Top 03 promising bands will be selected by the panel of professional judges to perform live in Sarangi Night by Serena Hotels. The bands will also receive the trophy and winning prize at the event. The event will be held on November 09, 2017.

- They will receive a trophy and certificate in a grand event (Sarangi Night) at Islamabad Serena Hotel.
- Winning bands will be awarded 05 Nights full board stay on double occupancy at any Serena Hotels property in Pakistan.
- Winning bands will be featured in press releases, print advertisements in various newspapers/magazines and online platforms..
